Learning Management Systems
Learning Management Systems are software systems that enable institutions to serve learners courses and training programs. Beyond delivery, they often provide tools for documentation, tracking, reporting, and automation. Some can even serve each student a specialized learning path, or make a training course available in various countries, in their respective languages and time zones.
Learning Management Systems Assessment
About This Project
Learning management systems are an indispensable tool for the delivery of online content. It is important to have an LMS that is easy-to-use and matches the needs of your institution. A good assessment starts with a thorough front-end analysis, requires identification of your stakeholders and their needs, and involves research.
This assessment was conducted for a graduate course. The team included Kayla Burns, Irielle Davis, Ashlie Seibles, and me. Our client was Dr. Kimarie Whetstone, the Director of Winthrop's Office of Online Learning. We compared three learning management systems for Winthrop University: Blackboard, Brightspace D2L, and Canvas. Our analysis concluded that Blackboard met our client's needs best.
